Apparently, its so gosh darn hot in NYC subways that cockroaches are starting to fly. I don’t know about you but that is just the most disgusting thing imaginable.

The science of it is, at least according to bug experts at the American Museum of Natural History, “with more heat (cockroaches) have more use of their muscles … The more activity, the more flight.” Basically, the heat makes roaches stretch their wings, giving them the strength to fly. So now, on top of being nearly immortal, cockroaches can freaking fly. Great.
