There are ways that this town hall could have gone well. But as with most things involving Donald Trump, it went completely wrong. For one, people were reporting that African-Americans were actually the minority at the town hall, making it not an African-American town hall but just a regular ol’ town hall. But can we really be surprised?

Second, when asked about the issue of black on black crime, Donald Trump suggested we bring back stop-and-frisk practices.

New York’s stop and frisk program was deemed unconstitutional in 2013 because it discriminated against minorities.

Trump knows that, right? But I guess he’ll do whatever it takes to make America “great again.” Like it was before…when it was worse.
