Blurred Lines Lawsuit Has a lot of Fans

Remember Robin Thicke’s catchy (but a little rape-y) song “Blurred Lines”? Marvin Gaye’s estate alleged that “Blurred Lines” had been partly plagiarized from some of Gaye’s work, and won $5.3 million. But musicians are fighting back–over 200 have signed onto a brief filed in court–arguing that this decision could be harmful to the industry as a whole. Here’s a comparison:
