This week, Uber will launch self-driving car tests in Pittsburgh. Crazy, right? The Pennsylvania steel town will be the world’s first to let passengers hail self-driving cars (sort of) that will bring them wherever they want to go. Safe and intact, we hope. The feat seemed nearly impossible a month ago, but it seems Uber is actually making it happen.

And it’s probably still safer than this drone that creators claim can carry you and your whole family into the stratosphere.
