Ramsey Orta was recently sentenced to four years in jail. No, it’s not because he filmed Eric Garner’s death, which was at the time a big problem for police, but because of criminal drug charges (every drug under the sun) and illegal possession of a gun. Ever since Eric Garner’s death in 2014, Orta has had many run-ins with the law. People are calling those “run-ins” police harassment and many believe his sentencing is a form of police retaliation.
