Donald Trump is in hot water again after making remarks on Monday that insinuated soldiers suffering from PTSD might not be as strong as the ones who don’t. His exact quote was:

…They see things that maybe a lot of folks in this room have seen many times over and you’re strong and you can handle it but a lot of people can’t handle it.

Team Trump says the comments were taken out of context. But critics say he is reinforcing the stigmatization of PTSD. He was talking about mental health and how to reduce former soldiers’ suicides when he made the remarks. Social media started overflowing with criticism. And many pointed out Trump’s own move to dodge the draft.

Trump slams our vets “not able to handle it” with PTSD. I’d bet they could get past Trump’s “bone spurs” that saved him from the draft.
