Tom Hanks proved again that he is not only a great actor but also a really good guy, by gifting the White House press corps a brand new espresso machine. This was the third coffee machine that Hanks has given White House reporters, and it shows that he appreciates the importance of both good journalism and good coffee. During George W. Bush’s presidency Hanks discovered that the reporters didn’t have a coffee maker, and bought one for them. In 2010, he found out the coffee maker was pretty run down and he decided to buy a new one. This new espresso machine was accompanied by a note with a picture of American troops and the words “Keep up the good fight for Truth, Justice, and the American Way. Especially the Truth part.” Seems like a jab at the new president, huh?
