Uber Fires 20 after Sexual Harassment Investigation

After serious allegations of sexual harassment at Uber earlier this year, the company conducted an investigation. Yesterday, it was revealed that Uber fired 20 people as a result. The justifications include sexual harassment, discrimination, unprofessional behavior, retaliation, bullying, and threats to physical safety. In addition, many more employees will undergo training about how to behave at work. After former engineer Susan Fowler wrote a blog post about how the HR department at the tech company ignored her claims of sexual harassment, more women spoke out.

Uber has generally had a pretty bad year. A video of CEO Travis Kalanick screaming at a driver surfaced. News stories broke about Uber using a software trick to get around regulations in different cities. And drivers have long complained about being underpaid. So, will this move change anything at the major tech company?
