I don’t think Donald Trump understands the concept of meritocracy, which ironically is at the very core of the Republican platform. This Tuesday he said he always wanted a Purple Heart, which is a military decoration awarded to those who are wounded or killed in the line of duty and subsequently received one from a veteran (although its authenticity is questionable).
Trump then got up before a crowd in Ashburn, Virginia and said, “I always wanted to get the Purple Heart,” He held up the Purple Heart “This was much easier.”
This comes after he insulted a Gold Star family whose son died in Iraq and the NYTimes released a revealing piece about Trump’s FIVE Selective Service deferments during the Vietnam War.
Raise your hand if you’re sick of Donald Trump’s entitled bullshit.
