Let’s face it. No matter how you feel about Ryan Lochte, whether you think he’s innocent or not, the Olympic swimmer is now known as an Olympic liar. Ryan Lochte lied about being robbed at gunpoint during a night out in Rio. Now his sponsors are washing their hands of him. Speedo, his biggest sponsor, dropped him this week after announcing: “We cannot condone behavior that is counter to the values this brand has long stood for.”

Ralph Lauren, mattress maker Airweave, and skincare firm Syneron-Candela have each ended their business relationships with Lochte.

On NBC’s Today show, Lochte said: “I made a mistake and I definitely learned from this. They put on a great Games… and my immature, intoxicated behavior tarnished that a little.”

Will the world ever be able to forgive him?
