As a person who could potentially have to use an EpiPen in case of an allergic reaction, the recent price gouge on EpiPens is astounding. Anaphylactic shock is one of the horrifying and most devastating conditions out there. Young children heading back to school, about to be exposed a gazillion hazards, including their own allergies, are the most at risk. But they might not be able to get their EpiPens because of its slow but crazy increase in price.

Mylan, the company that manufactures the EpiPen, “jacked up the prices… from around $100 in 2008 to $500 and up today.” That’s a 400 percent increase!
