“Sausage Party” Isn’t For the Weak of Humor

Set up to be one of the most controversial films of the year, “Sausage Party” is quite the animated comedy. In other words, parents do not bring your kids to see this, and kids, DO NOT go see this with your parents, because you’re in for an awkward car ride home.

It’s mindless, absurd, inappropriate humor and it is just what we need to end a summer of Zika, gun violence, Rio, and a crazy and stressful presidential race. Sit back, relax, and let your mind be transported to a dimension where the food  has a worse potty mouth than you do. The movie cost $19 million to make and was expected to make about $15 million on its opening weekend, but it beat those expectations by more than 50 percent, raking in $33.6 million dollars at the North American box office, and sending “Suicide Squad” down the drain.
