Suspicions that Hillary Clinton’s emails were hacked by Russian spies seem to have been confirmed. A public statement from an anonymous federal law enforcement official said that the hack came from an organization called Fancy Bear, which is both an awesome name and known to be linked to the Russian Military Intelligence Service, the GRU.

Both the Democratic National Convention and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee reported hacks, which means that communications and financial data are all at risk. Whoever is really behind Fancy Bear, it seems that these hackers are taking active steps to shift the election to harm Hilary Clinton’s chances of winning.
