Clams, Lobsters, and Pastries, Oh My!

Boston’s food scene is much better than its old nickname, “Beantown” would suggest. More than 60 new restaurants opened in Boston last fall, and if you’re into scenery, the Boston Seaport district features many of those new eateries. Boston is known for its New England staples–think clam chowder and lobster rolls. But a bunch of hot new chefs on the scene are bringing in different cuisines as well, from Spanish tapas, to high-end ramen, to French fare. And if you live for dessert, head over to Boston’s North End, where Modern Pastry Shop and Mike’s Pastry offer up a whole array of Italian delicacies. The convenient sharing economy applies to food too–if you don’t want to venture out for any of your delicacies try Postmates or Seamless.
