Looks like America is having a really hard time tackling this whole racism issue. Nine months ago Cal State’s Black Student Union issued a set of demands after students reported racist attacks and microaggresions from fellow students and faculty. Among those demands was a request for exclusive housing for Black students.
The new Halisi Scholars Black Living-Learning Community “focuses on academic excellence and learning experiences that are inclusive and non-discriminatory,” Cal State LA spokesman Robert Lopez told The College Fix.
While this living arrangement is technically open to everyone, the dorms are not necessarily billed or marketed that way.
