Following the vote for the UK to leave the EU back in June, Scottish leaders have faced a dilemma.
While majorities in Wales and Britain both voted in favor of the move, citizens in Scotland did not.
Back in 2014 the Scots passed on an opportunity to leave the UK, but now Scottish leaders are trying to explore untracked paths. How can they conform to will of their voters without cutting ties to the UK as a whole? Nicola Sturgeon, the Scottish First Minister said, “No option can be off the table for Scotland.” The Scots will have a hard road of negotiation ahead, but in a political environment as harsh and ever-changing as 2016, there may be light at the end of this tunnel for some Scots.
