On Valentine’s Day, UNC student Delaney Robinson was out with her friends and found herself drunk and alone with someone she did not know. She alleges she was then raped by UNC football player, Allen Artis. In completing a rape kit and handing the case over to the school’s Title IX office, Delaney Robinson claims she was treated like a suspect and asked a slew of questions that sounded like she was being blamed for the crime.

A day after Robinson’s press conference, Allen Artis turned himself in on sexual assault charges. At this time, it is not clear whether Robinson would like to press charges against the school for mishandling her case, but people are joining in on her outrage.

Why is nothing changing? Why does UNC refuse to treat sexual assault like a crime? Is rape not enough of an “honor court violation?”
