Donald Trump had a weird night last night. Or should we say that both versions of Donald Trump–the one who spoke in Mexico and the one who made a speech in Arizona–had a weird night last night. Trump started his evening speaking in Mexico, after accepting an invitation from President Enrique Peña Nieto. While he seemed calm and subdued during the visit, there was apparently disagreement between Peña Nieto and Trump over who would be paying for Trump’s beloved wall between the U.S. and Mexico.
But then, Trump took the stage for a speech in Phoenix, Arizona, and had a very different tune to sing. He once again took a harsh and fear-mongering line on immigration, claiming he would start a “deportation task force” and claiming that “this election is our last chance to secure the border, stop illegal immigration, and reform our laws to make your life better.”
And he’s still at this morning;
