Welcome to RantCrush Top 5, where we take you through today’s top five controversial stories in the world of law and policy. Who’s ranting and raving right now? Check it out below:
The recent, illegally acquired, emails from Secretary Clinton’s campaign manager John Podesta revealed the squabbling dynamic of Clinton’s inner circle as staffers competed for position and prestige. It’s actually quite creepy how obsessed they are with not only every aspect of Secretary Clinton’s appearance but also their own, both to the Secretary and the public at large. But this isn’t brand new. We knew this.
What is concerning is how the media and spectators are interpreting the leaked emails. The dynamics of interpersonal relationships are way too complicated to be simply pieced together from emails. Those reading into the emails may just find exactly what they are looking for, courtesy of confirmation bias.
Trump is incorrect to say that US media is not covering #PodestaEmails. But often “light” revelations are selected instead of the serious.
