Trump’s sprawling Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey shut its doors at 6AM this morning after failing to reach a deal with union workers to restore health and pension benefits that were removed from their contacts in bankruptcy court.
“Nearly 3,000 workers are losing their jobs, bringing the total jobs lost by Atlantic City casino closings to 11,000 since 2014,” said the Associated Press.
The Associated Press is calling this the fifth casualty of the Atlantic City casino crisis. Trump opened the Taj Mahal 26 years ago and once called it “the 8th wonder of the world.”
