Today is a very, very dark and sad day for many people. It is also the 78th anniversary of Kristallnacht—the night in 1938 when Nazis in Germany torched synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, businesses and even schools, killing 100 Jewish people.
In the aftermath, Nazis arrested about 30,000 Jewish men and sent them to concentration camps to die. Adolf Hitler had been in power for five years at that point. Fast forward to 2016, and it is up to all of us to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself.
