Yesterday, a federal judge decided to postpone the jury selection in Dylann Roof’s trial, the 22-year-old white guy who killed nine black people in a church in Charleston last year. Judge Richard Gergel said it was due to a motion that the defense filed earlier in the morning that required his full attention, and that it’s “necessary to protect the attorney-client privilege and the defendant’s right to a fair and impartial jury and a fair trial.”
The new date for jury selection will be Wednesday at 9 AM.
