Officials have reason to suspect that hackers from Russia and elsewhere will try to cause Election Day chaos, which includes worst case scenarios like a shutdown of part of the power grid or the internet. This is serious, people.

The government has enlisted experts in the White House and Department of Homeland Security, including the CIA, NSA, and some segments of the Defense Department. They are not messing around and Russia has been thoroughly warned.
