Starbucks Debuts New Cup, Causes A Stir…Again

So Starbucks introduced a new cup design again ahead of the holiday season. This cup holds a special meaning though.

The cup is supposed to mean “unity,” because of the neutral green colors and the mosaic of different faces. It’s nice, right?

Nope, because as the tweet implies and because it’s like six days before the election, this cup is obviously political. But as past years show, people don’t like religion with their coffee and they certainly do not like politics with it either.

Starbucks’ CEO says: “During a divisive time in our country, Starbucks wanted to create a symbol of unity as a reminder of our shared values, and the need to be good to each other.”
