North Korean officials have begged Chinese media to stop calling their leader Kim Jong Un “fat.” He is widely referred to as Kim Fatty III in Chinese media, but the nicknames Kim Fat Fatty or Kim Abundant III have also been used. Websites in China have started blocking nicknames for the North Korean leader that reference his weight.

The plump leader loves to munch on Swiss cheese, pizza, and wine, his favorite being Bordeaux. He once bragged about drinking 10 bottles before a meal and another time he retreated from the public eye to binge on a large shipment of Emmental cheese. While his emerging reputation may be damaging internationally, at home many in North Korea see obesity as a sign of wealth.
