Michael Moore suggested the Democrats should run popular people, like Oprah or Tom Hanks, for president next time around. Since the Republicans had the Terminator, aka Arnold Schwarzenegger, run for governor of California, why not?
Hanks addressed the election in an epic speech at the Met last night, where he was being honored for his life’s work. He said that people shouldn’t worry, “We are going to be all right. America has been in worse places than we are at right now.” He also quoted a Bruce Springsteen song and sang a little himself. When asked about a potential presidential run, he said that he’s an actor who is good at talking, but that doesn’t make him qualified to be president. But that hasn’t stopped some from speculating.
