Yesterday President-elect Donald Trump finally got to talk on the phone with his buddy Vladimir Putin; he has expressed admiration for the Russian leader in the past. Trump’s office said Putin called to congratulate Trump on his win. According to a statement from the Kremlin, they discussed Syria and how to improve the U.S. – Russia relationship.

Apparently they had very similar views on how to fight international terrorism and promised to keep in touch by phone. Some are very concerned by this relationship, while others hope it will lead to reduced tensions between the two nations. Only time will tell.
