Last night, the MTV Movie & TV awards were held and the awards show did something a little different–it didn’t split the acting categories by gender. Instead, Emma Watson took home the gender-neutral award of “best actor in a movie” for her role in “Beauty and the Beast” and Millie Bobby Brown won “best actor in a show” for her part as Eleven in “Stranger Things.”
While there was a lot of praise for MTV’s move, not everyone was on board. Piers Morgan went on a rant on “Good Morning Britain” about how upset he was by the concept of gender-neutral awards.
