Yesterday, attorney and CNN commentator Angela Rye and former Congressman Joe Walsh had an on-air discussion after getting into a Twitter fight the day before. Rye had said that Barack Obama “had to be the next best thing to Jesus” when he became president, essentially arguing that he was held to ridiculous standards. Walsh disagreed, and claimed that Obama was held to lower standards just because he was black and everyone was so excited to have the first black president.
Rye completely challenged that comment and the two went on CNN to sort it all out. “I am not interested in trying to convince and change the mind of a bigot, someone who will openly troll me and say things that are offensive that he knows are not true,” Rye said. Walsh claimed that Obama didn’t have any experience when he was elected and insinuated that Obama and Trump had similar resumes. Check out the rest of the conversation:
