Berlin police have announced that someone stole a huge Canadian gold coin from a museum early Monday morning. The coin is reportedly worth $1 million, but it’s made of really, really pure gold so it could be worth as much as $4.5 million at market prices. But, how in the world did the thief manage to steal it? The coin has a diameter of 20.9 inches and weighs 221 pounds. The coin has a picture of Queen Elizabeth on one side and maple leaves on the other, and is named the “Big Maple Leaf” coin. Though the theft is unfortunate for the museum, Twitter users were immediately amused by the fact that someone is walking around with a 200-pound gold coin.
