A Jewish teenager with dual American and Israeli citizenship has been arrested for the recent bomb threats against several Jewish Community Centers in the U.S. The international investigation has been going on for the past two months and resulted in the 19-year-old suspect’s arrest in Ashkelon, located in southern Israel, yesterday. Why he would do something like this is unclear, but Jewish groups said they were relieved to see the perpetrator arrested. But they still cautioned that the vandalism of Jewish cemeteries around the U.S. seems to be unrelated and that anti-Semitism continues to increase. According to the kid’s lawyer, he has a serious medical condition that could affect his behavior. Officials said he also tried to grab an officer’s gun during the arrest.
