Over a week after Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated claims that Obama wiretapped Trump Tower last year, Kellyanne Conway appeared on TV, and when asked whether she believes the allegations to be true, said that there are many ways for people to spy on you nowadays. Referring to the news last week that the CIA has the technology to hack home electronic devices to access their cameras, Conway said, “And microwaves that turn into cameras, et cetera. We know that is just a fact of modern life.”
Well…that specific “fact of modern life” is unfamiliar to many people. A device needs to have a camera in the first place in order for it to be used for video surveillance. The White House has kept a low profile on the wiretap claims for the past few days, but now Conway breathed new life into the allegations. But, does Kellyanne honestly believe that our microwaves are spying on us?
