Secretary of Defense Ash Carter just made a policy announcement stating transgender people could “serve openly.” He said there were already thousands of transgender people in the military shrouded by secrecy. This is one of final bans to be lifted since “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” was eradicated in 2011. On social media, people are already criticizing the decision.
The world is on fire and our Pentagon is concerned about Mrs. Doubtfire serving in the Military. Nice work Ash Carter. We feel safer now.
