A clip showing a white woman yelling at the staff of a health clinic in Mississauga, Ontario because there were no “white doctors” available has gone viral. The woman, who has not been identified, is seen demanding to have a white doctor “who speaks English” and does not “have brown teeth” examine her son–who she said had chest pains. After several minutes of screaming, other people in the waiting area tell her to go to the hospital instead. She answers that she tried that but there were only “brown doctors.” “You’re telling me there isn’t one white doctor in this whole entire building?” she says. She also says that “being white in this country, I should just shoot myself,” and “what kind of country am I living in?”

People are outraged that she would deny her son medical care just because the only available doctors had a different skin color than her. When bystanders spoke out against her, she started saying that they were attacking her because she is white.
