RantCrush Top 5: June 19, 2017

Someone trolled Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) by subscribing all his email accounts to multiple newsletters promoting Nickelback. On Friday, Sasse tweeted about his crowded inbox and made it clear he doesn’t find it the least bit funny.

To whoever just subscribed my email accts (family, work, obsolete) to multiple @Nickelback promotional & fan newsletters:

But social media users took the opportunity to use some Nickelback lyrics to call Sasse out for not discussing the new Senate health care bill out in the open. Not many people know what is going on with the bill or what will be in it, and yesterday Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said that Democrats should do whatever they can to oppose it. To keep the content of the bill a secret until it’s time to vote on it is “completely unacceptable,” he said.

Ben, “this is how we remind you” to let us know what’s in the bill. Get it. Like the hit Nickelback song
