More Republicans get behind Trump (well sort of)

After meeting with the Trump campaign on Thursday, Ted Cruz announced that he has agreed to speak at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.  Although Cruz agreed to speak, he still isn’t (yet) endorsing Trump. This marks a slight shift for Trump who weeks ago said that he wouldn’t let anyone talk at the convention who hasn’t also endorsed him. There were also some strings attached–a Trump aide told the New York Times that the campaign will be able to review Cruz’s speech ahead of time and Cruz promised not to disrupt the nomination process. It seems like the #NeverTrump fantasy of a last minute convention stand off is fading by the day.
