The U.S. Capitol building was on edge after reports surfaced that someone had entered the building with a firearm. The Capitol Building, as well as the Visitor’s Center went on lockdown, until the situation was investigated. According to Capitol police: “Out of an abundance of caution, the Capitol was placed on lockdown to keep everyone safe until the circumstances could be verified.”
