In a press appearance in Australia for his new Jason Bourne movie, Matt Damon spoke passionately about American gun violence and praised Australia’s strict gun control legislation, saying: “You guys did it here in one fell swoop and I wish that could happen in my country, but it’s such a personal issue for people that we cannot talk about it sensibly. We just can’t.” While many agree with Damon’s opinion, others can’t get over the fact that the actor is in several action films where gun violence is omnipresent and condoned.
Whether Matt Damon is a hypocrite or not, I really don’t get why he had to go and make another Bourne movie.
