On Friday, a doctor opened fire inside the Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York. He killed a doctor, Tracy Sin-Yee Tam, and wounded six others. The shooter, Henry Bello, worked at the hospital for about six months until he resigned after accusations of sexual harassment. In 2004, he was arrested and charged with sexual abuse and unlawful imprisonment after grabbing a woman on the street. After shooting his former colleagues, Bello lit himself on fire and shot himself in the head.
Early Saturday morning, someone started shooting at a nightclub in Little Rock, Arkansas, during a concert. Twenty-eight people were wounded, but luckily everyone survived. The victims’ ages range between 16 and 35. The police said they don’t think this is a case of terrorism, but rather some kind of gang-related dispute gone wrong. No suspects or motives are known yet. Yesterday, a rapper who was performing during the shooting, Ricky Hampton, was arrested for aggravated assault with a gun, but it was unrelated to the shooting.
