Some protesters for gun rights are threatening to throw Mass. Attorney General Maura Healy into the harbor and others want to tar and feather her. Why? The AG is pushing to ban “copycat” assault rifles or guns that have been tweaked or modified to make them state compliant. Assault weapons have been illegal in the state for quite some time and the AG’s legislation would only enforce the ban. But gun owners and sellers are outraged and concerned over how this will affect their right to own guns at all.
