On Friday, Trump’s very tired looking press secretary, Sean Spicer, resigned. But his resignation wasn’t sparked by months of criticism, or frustration, or drawn-out confrontations with the press. Instead, Spicer resigned over the president’s appointment of Anthony Scaramucci as Communications Director.
And Scaramucci certainly hit the ground running over the weekend, appearing on multiple cable news shows. He’s already vowed to stop the “leaks” from the White House that have plagued the administration since January, saying that he’s going to have a serious talk with the communications staff. And he spent some time over the weekend deleting some of his more controversial tweets, including ones with a decidedly liberal flair. While Scaramucci admitted to scrubbing his Twitter account, he certainly received criticism for switching his views so quickly.
