The NBA Literally Isn’t Playing Any Games With North Carolina

The highly anticipated 2017 NBA All-Star game is set to move from  Charlotte, NC. Why? Because of the state’s controversial transgender bathroom law, HB2, which threatened the rights of the state’s LGBT citizens. NBA officials say they have tried to negotiate with the state and get them to effect “positive change” but to no avail.

So now the game will be moving. Yahoo reports officials have been looking into the city of New Orleans as a new host and Mayor de Blasio of NYC is open to the possibility of the game being hosted there. In any case, North Carolina has royally screwed itself and is now looking like a bride left at the altar.
