This weekend, a family gathering ended in tragedy after a pregnant 21-year-old woman organized a gender reveal party in Cincinnati. Suddenly two men wearing hoodies burst in and started shooting indiscriminately. A 22-year-old woman was killed and eight others were injured, including three young children, ages two, six, and eight. The woman who was killed, Autum Garrett, was the cousin of the pregnant woman, who was shot in the thigh and lost her baby. No one has been arrested and there was no known motive–police said it was unclear whether the gunmen knew the victims or if anyone in particular was the target. Now a lot of people are outraged at the senseless violence and once again, the country’s gun laws are under scrutiny.
