Almost 700 female artists joined forces and created art to protest the election of Donald Trump. The exhibit is called “Nasty Women” and all the pieces were priced at $100 or under, making the art accessible. All the benefits were donated to Planned Parenthood. Over the three days the exhibition was up in New York, it raised $42,500. Another show in Phoenix raised $11,000, making the total amount donated over $50,000.

When co-organizer Roxanne Jackson started the project, she had no idea it would grow so quickly. “This show isn’t necessarily about highlighting individual artists. It’s about female-identifying artists coming together against the Trump regime,” she said. And it’s not over yet; in the next few months, almost 30 similar events are scheduled in different American cities and internationally.
