Protesters Dressed as KKK Members Interrupted Jeff Sessions

Sessions was met by protesters dressed in KKK hoods. A female protester from the liberal group Code Pink wore a pink crown. “What is this craziness? I’m a white man!” shouted one of the protesters when an officer escorted him out of the Senate hearing room.

But during the eight-hour confirmation hearing, Sessions seemed to distance himself from many of Trump’s more controversial opinions. He said that he is opposed to banning Muslims from entering the U.S. He also said that waterboarding is “absolutely” illegal. And he said that he would recuse himself from participating in any investigations into Hillary Clinton, since he could be deemed biased because of comments he made during the campaign. But, many still see him as an objectionable choice for AG.
