Airbnb Pledges to House 100,000 in Need

If you watched the Super Bowl last night you probably saw Airbnb’s ad, with a collage of faces of all ethnicities and the message “we accept.” Now Airbnb is following through and says it will provide free accommodation for refugees who have been barred from entering the U.S. The goal is “to provide short-term housing over the next five years for 100,000 people in need. We’ll start with refugees, disaster survivors, and relief workers, though we want to accommodate many more types of displaced people over time,” Airbnb said in a statement. The company will also donate $4 million over the next four years to the International Rescue Committee. Check out the ad:
