We Need to Talk About #Bagelgate

Early Sunday morning, police had to break up a fight on a train in Hertfordshire, England. The fight broke out after some passengers (seemingly drunk) placed bagels on other riders’ heads, while singing “he’s got bagel on his head.” A video that went viral shows how the drama unfolded–a few young women kept fighting and fellow passengers tried to separate them.

One man kept throwing bagel pieces out the window, and the passenger behind him kept placing bagels on his head while the crowd sang. When the train reached a station, police officers boarded and tried to sort the super weird situation out. The Transport Police later tweeted: “Let’s be clear, no bagel should be treated so cruelly. And no one subjected to intimidating behavior.”
