Apparently Pizzagate is Still a Thing

Yesterday, a 28-year-old man walked into Comet Ping Pong, the subject of the #Pizzagate conspiracy theory, carrying an assault rifle. He then fired his weapon in the restaurant. Luckily no one was hurt before the police came and arrested him, but he claimed that he wanted to “self-investigate” the story.

A fake news article that insisted that Hillary Clinton and John Podesta were running a child trafficking ring based out of the D.C. restaurant inspired the conspiracy theorists. Obviously none of it was true, but that hasn’t stopped some readers from getting all hot and bothered. But sometimes, pizza is just pizza–no conspiracy theories involved.
