Good News for Once: Toddler Adopted After 832 Days in Foster Care

To end today with a cute story, the internet is absolutely gushing over the adorable three-year-old Michael Brown, who after being in a foster home for 832 days, was just adopted by his foster mom. One of Michael’s new sisters took a photo of him when the adoption was finalized on December 20, and his happiness is just too much to handle.

Tara Montgomery had been taking care of Michael since February of last year and had no plans to adopt him since the hope was that he would be reunited with his biological mother. She is also a single mom and already has two daughters. But when the plan fell through, Montgomery didn’t see any other choice. “It felt like he was a part of our family right from the start,” she said. “He wakes in the morning and says, Mom, I’m so happy.” People all over the internet are responding to the good news:
