Ryan Lochte has officially been charged in Brazil with filing a false police report after he lied about a robbery during the Olympic Games. The Brazilian police say that Lochte, along with three other American swimmers, drunkenly vandalized a gas station, and Lochte has given a half-hearted apology. According to USA Today:

Lochte will be informed of the charges in the United States and can then decide whether to introduce a defense in Brazil. The statement also said a copy of the evidence could be sent to the International Olympic Committee’s ethics commission.

Oh Ryan Lochte, won’t you ever learn?
